Wearable Props for the All American All Girl Rescue

produced by the Players of Sarasota

 

Each of these pieces was opened at the back, light enough for a woman to carry or "wear" they danced across the stage underneath a suspended aero plane with whirling propellers to illustrate flying all over the world during WW II.

 

The "cigarette package with dancing feet" concept was provided by Lino Toyos, the scenic designer.

Karle designed constructed and painted each prop from verbal the direction "Make a Statue of Liberty, an Eiffel Tower, a Big Ben and something for Ireland.

Each stands about 6 feet tall is constructed of light wood framing with luan and foam on the front and sides.
